Takabanda plays Jackson Pollock |
|
The project of drummer Paolo Eleodori "TAKABANDA plays JACKSON POLLOCK" is inspired by the idea to reproduce the band's music and the artist's paintings in a way that leads to a particular colour sound. The spontaneity and colourful improvisation in the painter's works is inspiring the musicians to find new ways and possibilities of interpreting the paintings. Selected works of Pollock are projected for this purpose and become an active part of the music by offering the possibility to move in space; moreover: also the paintings can react to the music; with single elements they can form new compositions in a flexible and new way, this leads to an Instant-Painting-Composition. |
